There is a problem with my video about watching the video.
You can use the link which is below mentioned, for watching the video as uploading it.

in recent day, importance of suburbs is rising and so, the design quality of houses in suburban areas becomes crucial. In this respect, The RainShine House in Atlanta, Georgia is the ideal design house about environmental sustainability. In this house, the architect offers many solution about design process as interior design, construction and garden. At the same time, this project is a pilot project of LEED program.
Also, the place which the house is located in, is good to choose living in there because of public transportation opportunities and commonness of biking and waking.

  1. Safak-

I really liked the house that you chose. I it very interesting to see how strategically the windows were placed in order to maximize solar power and temperature control naturally. I also liked the addition of the rain gardens. I just noticed that a lot of submission show that a home is successful because of the it's sustainable features. And most of these things are true. But, what I would like to hear about is how this sustainability has effected the life style of the inhabitants. I know this is most likely not written but we can assume how this space would effect our moods, habits, and emotions. This home, with the lighting calculated so carefully, makes me think back to the very first week of this class when we talked about our attitudes towards suburbia. Lindsay posted about a stream of light that shines in on her living room and how that light creates a feeling of comfort and content in her and her growing family. The light sequences within the space remind me of curling up on a couch with the sun beating on you and just taking a long nap. This home has a calming effect that yes is efficient but far more than just to your wallet. That calming feeling will assist in being a separation from the hectic life style that lies just outside the door and gives a person or a family time to focus on being together and being mentally healthy.

  2. Safak,

This is a great house...I literally want to move in tomorrow! Like Laura mentioned above, the placement and amount of windows in such an energy efficient house is amazing. What sets this house apart from other sustainable houses is it's proximity to public transportation and the ability to walk and bike, increasing the feeling of connectedness to the community. I feel that many sustainable homes are trendy and will quickly go out of style. This home is a classic examples of contemporary which I don't think will ever go out of style.
