                                    CREATING SUSTAINABLE SUBURBIA

In 1880's, revealing term of suburbia has changed and instead of being improved, it has been  regressed day to day. Whereas in the past, suburbia was a livable place for escaping from city life, today, it is indifferent from cities. In that case, how can we create healthy suburbs and offers them to our future?  SUSTAINABILITY! The paper provides that how we can provide sustainable suburbs to societies.
 The goal of the sustainable suburbs is to create communities that are capable of being continued far into the future:
financially, the cost of constructions, managed and sustained new societies and their promotive infrastructure and utilities are allowable, getting concern to other expending preferences, and won’t become a responsibility on future generations;
socially, societies are designed to be socially various, adaptable to converting lifestyles ad to additional the objective of presenting all settlements with connection to affordable housing, education, health care, public facilities and services;
environmentally, communities are created to diminish air, water and soil pollution, cut down resources consumption and waste, and conserve natural resources and systems that reinforce life.

  1. safak i am super interested in this and think that you can explore many scales. the scale of sustainable neighborhoods [walk-ablility] [access to public space] [access to commerce and entertainment] + longevity [aging in place] [value of quality and establishing a SENSE OF PLACE] + designing with local climate [FLW] + materiality [green, natural, no-VOC finishes]
